Although the fun part is tweaking your brushes etc. SAI/SAI2- I actually did great paintings in this, but on the downside, LiteralHatCS did mention the brushes don't look natural. I can't answer what the preference can or will be, only you can test it out and decide for yourself. Sides I'm a mutli user myself and i ofteningly bounce between SAI and CPS every other week. I've read some posts on Reddit about that, but they not always were about all of them and sometimes they were even about other programs, but most importantly, they seemed outdated, considering that some major updated could have been released since then, which could change many features and opinions about them. Plus, I know that some people prefer to do the sketch, line art and basic coloring on SAI or CSP and then the special effects on PS, which sounds great actually. I'm relatively new to art by itself (heres the link to one of my recent drawings ( ), so perhaps I'm the problem, but I do see many people saying that artists should use SAI or CSP, at least for sketches and line arts, instead of PS, mostly because of how well they handle brushes and stuff.
However, I always felt the way it handles brushes a little odd, probably because it was meant to be an image editing program, not a drawing one. Since I moved from traditional to digital drawing, I've always used Photoshop, because of its relevance in the market, features and the fact that I already was used to it.
